I'd have to check but i'm pretty sure tooza went on tour on his own accord i think all will come out in the wash over the next couple of days seriously no one is doubting tooza's abilities or that he has represented Folklore well over the past couple of years we're just putting it out there that he needs to get his life together and then go skateboarding...

Here's what I've heard: So Tooza pays for his own flight to Melbourne to go on tour with the Folklore team.. He gets there and is told he can't stay with the team and has to find his own accomodation... Nice start.
This is bearing in mind that Tooza does not have a lot of money at the best of times...
He then breaks the ONE board he got for that month and is then hassled to film and shoot photos and yet can't get another board..?
Fuck that shit. Tooza is a fucking champion and it's Folklore's loss. I hope he hooks something else up soon.

Tooza has done is tough since day one... He's from a bad part of Ballina and has struggled and slogged his guts out to come from a little Ballina park shitbag to get somewhere in skateboarding.
I've got massive respect for Tooza, it's about time you showed him some as well.
making him pay for his own shit and only getting one board a month isnt going to help him 'get his life together'... you guys should be helping him out, fuck, contradicting yourself, get a clue
Anyone who doubt's our love for Tuzz is seriously mistaken.
The decision to stop giving him boards was not an easy one, but believe it or not there can be more important things in life than succeeding in skateboarding and Tuzz needs to focus on those things right now.
I don't really want to air that dirty linen on a public forum but those who know Tuzz and really care about him are aware of his need to get his shit together.
He spends all his time thinking about how to get a photo, or a clothing sponsor or whatever, when he should be trying to hold down a job or find a permanent place to live.
It's all good to live the dream when you are young but I would hate to see Tuzz in a couple more years still struggling with those things.
I personally have a huge amount of love for Tuzz, he is a sweet natured gentle goofball that deserves all the breaks in life that people can give him. He also needs a reality check though, and that is what I am trying to give him.
And for the record, I didn't ask Turi to come on the tour, he came of his own accord when I had already told him his spot on the team was in danger. If he hadn't come and focused on getting his life in order instead things may be different now.
And to the haters who are so quick to criticize - at least we gave him a shot, and will be happy to do so again when he has things a bit more together, it's more than others have done.

I hate to come back on this, but trying to get tuzza's life together, really isn't something a sponsor should be doing.
If anything, this is just another thing to add to the list of shit he has to deal with.
Timmy, i thought maybe you would understand where I was coming from.
But you made it pretty clear in your first post what you really think of Folklore so I don't think anything I say will change your mind.
I answered questions about why I did what I did, and then you have a go for me caring enough about him to try and get him motivated to get his life together? Whats the deal? I thought you considered him a friend?
Don't you think that its more important for him right now to concentrate on getting a job/house etc than to spend a lot of energy trying to make it skateboarding?
He is much more likely to be successful at what he wants from skating if he is not worrying about where his next pay check is coming from, or where he is going to move to or whatever.
i got love for folklore. but making him pay for boards if hes already in doubt about having enough money to survive? eh.
