lack of demos in newcastle?
pretty sure last demo i remember hearing bout was vita footwear. and it got called off...
and that was bout 7 or 8 years ago?
so the black label Vs deca was prob last demo in newcastle.
were so lucky...
the only way you are going to get a decent team up there (sorry folklore)... actually i'll take that back, "popular team from the USA" is..
get local shop owner to let distribution companies know he is very keen to pay 10's of thousands to fly a team up there and accomodate them next time they are in the country. if you have a heap of amazing street spots it helps.
didn't globe go up there long ago...was just lurkin on jacks myspace and saw the photos with mappy and such...
yeah billabong and globe did small photo tours up there not long after Josh and I were up there at the end of summer...
What ever happened to giving something back to the kids not worrying about who's picking up the bill and sending some love to cairns!
Oh and i think Element tour with Corbin finished up that way to i think...
As for the rest of the country i suppose it comes down to what you've got to skate and how good it is...
Australia has a lack of them.
maybe more Australian company's should do demos and stuff instead of the seppos.
costs alot of money to do a demo man, travel, hotel, food, insurance...and so forth and so forth....
