You keep making the point that you, by kicking him off, are making his life somewhat better? Again i say, it's just another load on him.
Turi is very close friend, so i'm obviously biased.. but you can't honestly say that you think this is helping his situation. I mean shit, you were only giving him one board a month (if that), and he basically had to beg for that.
Tuzza will be getting his shit together, but by no means on this tip.

Its hard for me not to take it personally Timmy as it was my call that he needed to forget about skateboarding for the time being and focus on more important issues in his life.
I never claimed that I was making his life better, just that he needs to get his shit together and this was a way I could make it clear to him what his priorities need to be.
I could have kicked Tuzz off long ago for many reasons that people often get kicked off for but I have stuck with him. I have been telling him for many months that I would rather hear about him keeping a job or finding a permanent place to live than what tricks he wants to shoot photos of.
He then came to Melbourne for the tour on his own accord (I didn't ask him to come) and we paid for his accomodation for 5 nights (which we hadn't budgeted for) and then he crashed at a mates for the rest of the time. I had told him this would be the case before he came.
As far as the board situation went, I offered him boards but we only had 8 or bigger in the bus, he turned them down as he wanted a smaller board. I organised two boards for him when we got back to Melbourne.
This may seem petty pointing this out, but I feel it unfair that people can quote hearsay on the internet and have it taken as fact, when often the opposite is true.
The only part of your post that i find hard to believe, is that he paid himself to come on the tour.
Although tuzza is gnarly, this isn't something he'd do.

i got love for folklore even though i got kicked off, they do great things for skaters, they helped me out alot, it is possible that jarrah thought folklore were holding him back or maybe giving him some sort of false hope as to becoming paid to skate or someshit. jarrah is a wise man, im sure it was not all jarrahs decision either, i dont know much about this story but that is my opinion, good luck to tuzza and good luck to folklore and the team
